Charlie & Roxann Waggoner

Roxann was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. She is considered an “Army Brat” because her dad was stationed at Ft. Sill at the time. After not being in church as a child, she finally was saved and baptized at the age of 22. God has been blessing ever since.

Charlie has played music professionally all his life. He started at the age of 13 as a regular on a local television show and hasn’t slowed down. After a hitch in the army he came home and met and married Roxann. They must have been made for each other, since music is their main work, hobby and all around joy.

Charlie and Roxann have recorded seven albums and worked on dozens of television shows that were country music based. Both will tell you that nothing has brought as much joy and peace as playing for the glory of the Lord.

Charlie and Roxann have been singing and playing music together since 1969. They were part of a traveling country music dance band from that time until 1992.

In 1992 it became apparent that the Lord was telling them that it was time to stay close to home so they retired. In 1994 they were asked to be a part of a new mission in Brown County, Indiana. After finding out all the particulars they said yes.

It was to be a tourist ministry with a country music style gospel music based work. Since that time they have seen many faces, sung many praises and thanked the Lord for every heart that has been touched by their music. If a soul is added to the Kingdom by any part of what they have done, they rejoice.

Hello,

My name is Mark Dunn.  I was born and raised in Brown County, Indiana.  Since this area is hill country, it was just natural to be raised on country and blue grass music.

My family would sit out in the yard and play this type of music most every evening.  Dad played the mandolin and some guitar.  My uncle played a bull bass and my brother played the harmonica.  When I was 13 I started playing the guitar also.  After years of being involved with gospel music at several churches in the county, my wife Shirley and I began attending some of the music programs at the Country Gospel Music Church.

It seemed that we couldn't get enough of the down home style of worship the church had.  Soon we moved our membership here.

I am now deeply involved with the music program of the church.  God has blessed us so much, and we want to say how blessed we feel to have the opportunity to worship in such a special way.

Clifton and Velma Bryant moved here from Kentucky and are the parents of three gifted sons who play both country and bluegrass and have their own band.  They have 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Velma began her singing career at the age of 8 when she sang on a Kentucky radio station.  Clifton sings gospel with his sons on some occasions.

They are a wonderful addition to our musical group and we feel God has richly blessed us for their talent and wonderful work they do in addition to the music they perform.
