IN MEMORY OF
Mary Lou Lingle

Mrs. Mary Lou Lingle was born June 9, 1928 in Green County, KY to the late Dr. James C. Graham and Josie Lee Settle Graham.  She departed this life Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at her home in Green County, KY, having attained the age of eighty-four years, six months and two days.

Mrs. Lingle had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church.  She was a retired teacher and she had been a member of the Greensburg Chapter 232 Order of the Eastern Star for 70 years, making her be the longest member of the chapter.  She was an accomplished artist and a member of the Greensburg Arts Council.

She was united in marriage to James I. Locklear, Jr., who preceded her in death.  She was also united in marriage to William Lingle, who survives.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister:  Jessie Graham Vodopich.

She is survived by two stepsons:  Keith Lingle of Illinois and Todd Lingle of Louisville, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

AE2 Stuart Tyler Utley

AE2 Stuart Tyler Utley, age 25 of Fallon, Nevada, formerly of Somerset, KY passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012.

He was born in Somerset, KY on November 14, 1987, son of Vanessa Barrett Downey and Powell P. Utley.  He attended Victory Christian School and was a Pulaski County High School Graduate of 2006.  He was an Aviation Electrician's Mate for the U.S. Navy.
 
He is survived by his mother Vanessa B. Downey of Richmond, KY, his father, Powell P. Utley of Greensburg, one brother Matthew P. & Rebecca Utley of Louisville, grandmother, Evelyn B. Mitchell of Mt. Vernon, KY, grandfather:  Harold K. Barrett of Booneville, KY and stepfather, Charles H. Downey of Lexington, Virginia.

Funeral services for Stuart Tyler Utley will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, KY with Chaplain Guy Crubaugh officiating.    Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Military Honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.

The family has requested that donations be made in Stuart's name to Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund.  These can be made locally by contacting Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Kennith Russell Wright

Kennith Russell Wright was born July 20, 1933 in Green County, KY to the late Sam and Virgie Berry Wright.  He departed this life Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Campbellsville Retirement Home, Campbellsville, KY, having attained the age of seventy-nine years, four months and seventeen days.

Mr. Wright had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a farmer.   Besides his parents, he was preceded in death July 30, 2008 by his wife Norma Jean Hord Wright.  Also preceding him in death are two brothers and two sisters:  Rollin and Robert Wright, Margie Perry and Mell Bibb.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law:  Phyllis and Gary Smith and Donna and Darrell Smith of Greensburg, four sisters:  Mae Nunn Noe, Betty Reynolds and Mildred Milby, all of Greensburg and Mamie Beard of Knifley, three grandchildren:  Justin Smith, Jennifer and Sam Thompson and Liz and Chris Taylor, two great grandchildren, Carsen and Eli Thompson, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Betty Jo Kerzan Wright

Mrs. Betty Jo Kerzan Wright was born November 13, 1926 in Becknell, Indiana to the late Anton and Grace Tate Kerzan.  She departed this life Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg, KY, having attained the age of eighty-six years and four days.

She had made a profession of faith and was a member of the Greensburg Church of the Holy Redeemer.  She retired from Fruit of the Loom.  She was united in marriage to John "Wish" Wright, who preceded her in death.  She is also preceded in death by one brother:  Leo Kerzan and two sisters:  Mary Thomas and Clella Hepp.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law:  Peggy and Davis Rose and Nancy and Robert Price of Greensburg and Debbie and Tom Edwards of Harrodsburg. She is also survived by one sister:  Georgia Schaack of Marion, Illinois, six grandchildren:   Amy and Mark Milby, Lisa and Ricky Moran, Tommy and Amy Edwards, Robbie and Christy Price, John Paul Price and Ashley Edwards  and fourteen great grandchildren.

Betty Carol Bethune

Betty Carol Bethune was born on June 18, 1954 in Campbellsville, KY to Georgetta Barnett.  She departed this life on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital in Lexington, KY.  She was fifty-eight years old.

Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Lee Bethune.

She leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Georgetta Bethune and step father, Richard Bethune of Louisville, KY, one daughter, Michelle Lynn Bethune of Coppell, Texas, one son, Jason Richard Bethune of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Kelsi Marchelle Thompson, Tremayne DeJuan Kilgore, Jr. and Brianna Marie Bethune, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.  She loved to play Bingo, go fishing and was always humble and young at heart.

Lucille Edwards Stitzel

Mrs. Lucille Edwards Stitzel was born May 8, 1919 in Green County, KY to the late Clarence and Cora Squires Edwards.  She departed this life Sunday, November 4, 2012 in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of ninety-three years, five months and twenty-six days.

Mrs. Edwards retired as an accounting clerk from Brown and Williamson in Louisville, KY.  Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Stitzel, one brother:  O.C. "Buck" Edwards and two sisters:  Elizabeth Shaffner and Carolyn Crookshank.

She is survived by one sister-in-law:  Loretta Edwards of Greensburg, one brother-in-law:  Bob Shaffner of Elizabethtown, KY, three nephews and their wives:  Steve and Camellia Edwards, Rick and Savonna Edwards of Greensburg and Tony and Sharon Edwards of Lawrenceburg and two nieces:  Janet Spalding and Marcia Cowart.

There will be a graveside service 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Summer Shade Cemetery in the Bramlett Community of Green County.  Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.

Kimberly Sue Elmore

Kimberly Sue Erickson Elmore was born December 2, 1961 in San Gabriel, California to Raymond Childress and Phyllis Sue Erickson Tomes.  She departed this life October 27, 2012 at her home in Green County, KY, having attained the age of fifty years, ten months and twenty-five days.

Kim had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Living Grace Church, Campbellsville, KY.  She was a housewife.

She was united in marriage to Patrick "Pat" Elmore, who survives.  She is survived by one son:  Nick Elmore of Glasgow, KY, two daughters and sons-in-law:  Kyndra and Paul Martinez of California and Kara and Joel Costello of Summersville, KY and five grandchildren:  She is also survived by two brothers:  Tony Erickson of Arizona and Bill Childress of Illinois and three sisters:  Candice Classen of Georgia, Christeena Erickson and Kristianna Laam of California, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Calvin Puckett, Jr.

Calvin Puckett, Jr. was born February 18, 1924 in Sonora, KY to the late Calvin Puckett, Sr. and Sarah Anna Geralds Puckett.  He departed this life Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Woodlawn Terrace Health Care Facility in Elizabethtown, KY, having attained the age of eighty-eight years, seven months and twenty-one days.

Mr. Puckett had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Methodist Church.  In 1988 he retired as a General Manager of T.C.R.  Inc., a subsidiary of Texas City Refining.  He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II.  He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F & A.M., the Central KY Amateur Radio Club, American Radio Relay League, Quarter Century Wireless Association, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and James L. Pruitt VFW Post 5813, Greensburg, KY.  He was also a member of the Rob Lowe American Legion Post 124 Greensburg, KY and a charter member of the Green County Golf Club.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death in 2002 by one daughter:  Geraldine Wilson.  He is also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

On September 23, 1945 Mr. Puckett was united in marriage to Doris E. Boyd Puckett, who survives.  He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law:  Richard Tyra "Ty" and Mary M. Puckett of Greensburg, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family chose cremation.  There will be no services.

The family has requested that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans.  These can be made by contacting Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Wanda Akin Estes

Mrs. Wanda Akin Estes was born March 3, 1948 in Green County, KY to Robert O. Akin of Greensburg and the late Claris Henderson Akin.  She departed this life Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Golden Living Center/Green Hill Manor in Greensburg, having attained the age of sixty-four years, seven months and three days.

Wanda had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.  She was a sewing machine operator at Campbellsville Apparel.  Besides her mother she is preceded in death by one brother:  Phillip Darrell Akin.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Estes, one daughter:  Mashonnda Renee Lanier of Greensburg, two stepsons:  Anthony Wayne and Carrie Estes of Columbia and Jerry Dale and Erin Beth Estes of Campbellsville, one step daughter:   Patricia Gail Bradley of Campbellsville, and five grandchildren:  Jacob, Autumn, Cameron, Alex and Eric.

Laverne Blakeman VanArsdale

Laverne Blakeman VanArsdale, 91 of Franklin, KY and formerly of Greensburg, KY died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Hospice of So. KY in Bowling Green, KY.

The Green Co. native was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a homemaker, and a loyal friend to many special people.  She was an avid gardener and an accomplished seamstress.    She was an employee at "Fruit of the Loom" in Campbellsville, KY for 30 years.  Mt. Lebanon Methodist was her longtime church home.  Her Christian example was a shining star to everyone around her.

She was the daughter of the late Myrtie Jeffries Blakeman and Lallie Blakeman.  She was preceded in death by two sisters:  Hazel Pickett and Ola Faye Elliott.

Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Neagle Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104, Mt. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Otha VanArsdale; a son, Dennye VanArsdale and his wife, Elizabeth of Bowling Green, KY; three grandchildren:   Dr. Nancy V. Morris and her husband, Robb of London, KY; Susan Jackson and her husband, Gregory of Bowling Green, KY; and Jeff VanArsdale and his wife Melissa of Louisville, KY; four great-grandchildren:  Taylor Morris, Alexandra Morris, Hannah Jackson, and Wyatt VanArsdale; three nephews:  Joe Elliott, Gayle Pickett, and Roger Pickett; several cousins; and special caregiver, Nancy Combow of Franklin, KY.

Mrs. Helen Henson was born March 14, 1921 in Casey County, KY to the late James Samuel and Martha Hoskins Allen. She departed this life Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Campbellsville, KY having attained the age of ninety-one years, six months and sixteen days.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Henry Thomas Henson and two sisters:  Pauline Holbrook and Marguerite Davis.

She is survived by one brother and one sister:  Harold Allen and Louise Adams, both of Texas.  Locally she is survived by Gerald and Judy Davis of Campbellsville, KY, plus a host of nieces and nephews.  

Entombment will at the Forrest Lawn Memory Garden in Greenwood, Indiana.  Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements.
