Powers-Priebe Funeral Homes were founded in 1962 by Mr. Russell Powers and his wife, Margaret.
They originally operated one funeral home in Crawfordsville. In 1967 they bought the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in the town
of New Market. In the late 1970’s that funeral home was torn down and a new building was built. The Powers ran both
funeral homes until they were purchased by the present owner, Kent Priebe, in 1985. The Kent Priebe family continues to operate
both facilities and still lives in the Crawfordsville funeral home. The Priebe Family consists of Kent, his wife, Theresa,
and their children: Kinsey, Clay, & Cole.
The Powers-Priebe Funeral Homes staff consists of: Kent Priebe, owner and funeral director;
Mr. Laren Myers, funeral director/embalmer; Mrs. Kimberly Clark, office manager; and Mr. Ethan Whyde, part-time funeral assistant.
