This facility was constructed in 1895 as the residence of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Eis. Mr. Eis was a cigar maker and one of Centralia's early prominent citizens. The Eis family was known for entertaining as evidenced by the ballroom on the third floor of the building. The building was purchased in 1929 by Berthold Boggs who converted it into a funeral home where it has served the Centralia community since. The historic integrity of the building is evidenced by it's 3 hand carved fireplaces, the stained glass windows, detailed wood work and antique furniture. However, our families are well served with conveniences such as an off street paved parking lot, handicap accessibility, a large funeral chapel, well appointed spacious rooms and a family lounge with a kid's corner.
