Justine Lynn Reeve

Justine Lynn Reeve, 21 of Union City, TN. formerly of Centralia, passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1st in her residence.  She was born on August 18, 1989 in Centralia, the daughter of Joe D. Yates and Angela Reeve.  She is survived by her parents; Joe (Megan) Yates of Union City, Tn. and Angela Reeve of Centralia.  A brother; Jordan Reeve of Centralia.  3 sisters; Rachel Reeve, Kylie Wallace and Brigett Joy all of Centralia.  Grandparents; Leonard and Fran Weber of Irvington and Linda Corrigan of Centralia.  2 uncles; Jeff (Crystal) Reeve and James (Debbie) Yates.  2 aunts; Christine (Tony) Malawy and Joy (Robert) Stephenson.  And a special friend; Tracy Franks of Reve, TN., along with several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather; John Corrigan

Justine received her GED in Union City and was recognized for achieving the highest overall grade point average in her class of over 100.  She had a passion for writing and combining her poetry into music.  She loved her family and had great love for her many dogs and cats.  She enjoyed networking on the computer and building great friendships.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5th in the Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington with Rev. Stacy Tate officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested.  Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia is in charge of arrangements.

Douglas A. Decker

Douglas A. Decker, 44 of Nashville passed away at 4:36 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31st at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  He was born on March 17, 1966 in Nashville, the son of Elmer and JoAnn Carroll Decker.  He is survived by his parents of Nashville, a brother; Larry (Cassandra) Decker of Nashville, a sister; Carolyn (Johnnie) Walton of Nashville, a nephew; Erick Walton and a niece; Kortni Walton.  Aunts, uncles and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Andrew and Caroline Carroll and Walter and Ann Decker.

Mr. Decker was a police officer with the Nashville Police Department for several years before becoming an officer with Southern Illinois Drug Task force for 14 years.  Most recently Doug was employed part time with Charter Communications and the Irvington Police Department.

Funeral services will be held  at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3rd at Grace United Methodist Church in Nashville with Rev. John Prather officiating.  Burial with police honors will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Nashville.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the  Grace United Methodist Church and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.  Memorial contributions are suggested and may be made to the Masonic Cemetery.  Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Eugene O. Friedrichsmeyer

Rev. Eugene O. Friedrichsmeyer, 80 of St. Louis formerly of Nashville, passed away at 7:01 p.m. on Friday, August 20th in the St. Paul's Home in Belleville.  He was born on May 8, 1930 in Browns, Illinois, the son of Rev. Owen and Esther Gentsch Friedrichsmeyer.  He first married Bernice Vogel on June 13, 1953 while stationed in Cambridge, England and she passed away on June 12, 1989.  He then married Ella Kathryn "Kathy" Meckfessel on December 12, 1992 in Glendale, MO. and she survives in St. Louis.  Also surviving are 2 sons; James (Annette) Friedrichsmeyer of O'Fallon, MO. and John (Shauna) Friedrichsmeyer of Sacramento, CA. A daughter; Janet (Marvin) Dinkelman of Nashville.  a brother; Lee (Marilyn) Friedrichsmeyer of Boise, ID, a sister; Lois (Richard) Rohm of Lee's Summit, MO. 6 grandchildren; Angela and Adam Dinkelman, Derek, Kyla, Sarah and Emily Friedrichsmeyer. and 2 great grandchildren.  3 step sons; James (Lisa) Meckfessel, Michael (Debra) Meckfessel and Charles (Diana) Meckfessel.  2 sister in laws; Lorene (Charles) Crismon and Vera Vogel.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, a brother; Alan Friedrichsmeyer, 2 brother in laws; Carl and Martin Vogel and a sister in law; Wilma Vogel.

Rev. Friedrichsmeyer was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.  He graduated from Concordia College in River Forest, Illinois with a Master's Degree in education.  He served as a Lutheran school teacher at Bethlehem Lutheran in St. Louis, St. John's Lutheran in Cleveland, OH, Trinity-St. John Lutheran in Nashville and in Buffalo, NE, Polk, NE, Worden, IL and Nokomis, IL.  He then graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and served as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, Il.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev. Russell Johnson officiating.  Burial with a military flag presentation will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoffman.   Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and again from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville and one hour prior to services at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Seminary or the Lutheran Hour.

Glen Lewis Wallis

Glen Lewis Wallis, age 95, of Central City, Illinois, passed away at 1:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Heritage Woods in Centralia, Illinois.  He was born on November 27, 1914 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Jess and Maggie Gertrude (Sloat) Wallis.  He married Betty Jean Jackson on December 21, 1939 in Saint Louis, Missouri and she survives in Centralia, Illinois.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Wallis is survived by 2 sons Jerry Wallis and wife Wanda of Marquette Heights, Illinois and Tim Wallis and wife Luke of Centralia, Illinois, 4 daughters Glenna Peterson and husband Jon of Palm Coast, Florida, Barbara Bryan and friend Jim Ebens of Mendota, Illinois, Robbyn Sprowls and husband Fred of Centralia, Illinois, and Susan Hartrup and husband Jeff of Odin, Illinois, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Mr. Wallis is preceded in death by his parents, son Sargeant Ronald Wallis and brother Dwight Wallis.

Mr. Wallis was a member of the Central City Baptist Church in Central City, Illinois.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II in England.  He loved to fish, bowl and camp.  He enjoyed telling stories and his favorite quote was "Don't quote me."  He was a devoted husband and father and ejoyed the time he spent with his family.

Mr. Wallis was an union truck driver for 27 years with Kas Potato Chips until his retirement in June of 1978. 

Celebration of Life for Mr. Wallis will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the Calumet Street Christian Church in Centralia, Illinois with Aaron Shirley officiating.  A Memorial Gathering will be on Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the services at the Calumet Street Christian Church.  Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Wallis' honor to the Calumet Street Christian Church, SSM Hospice or Heritage Woods Activities Department and  will be received at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.

Edward J. Musielak

Edward J. Musielak, 86 of Oakdale, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Monday, August 16th at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville.  He was born on February 12, 1924 in Pilot Knob Township, the son of Joe and Wanda Smugala Musielak.  He married Evelene Frye on March 12, 1946 in Todds Mill and she survives in Oakdale.  Also surviving are a son; Larry Musielak of Oakdale, 2 daughters; Pam (Terry) Jackson of Pinckneyville and Cheryl (Feliz) Contreras of Nashville, a brother; Thomas (Pearl) Musielak of Oakdale, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, a great granddaughter, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Mr. Musielak was a retired machinist with National Mine Company in Nashville and a member of the Oakdale Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19th in the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Fred  Pringle officiating.  Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Rice.  Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

Carol Sue Wheatley

Carol Sue Wheatley, 67 of Centralia passed away suddenly at 6:25 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010 in the emergency room at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.  She was born on December 9, 1942 in Christopher, Illinois, the daughter of Marion B. and Leora (Stalcup) Wheatley.  She married Patrick D. Wheatley on April 13, 1985 in Centralia, Illinois and he survives in Centralia, Illinois. 

Along with her husband, she is survived by 2 sons; Gene Whited and special friend Vanessa Barry of Patoka, Illinois and Michael Whited and wife Sara of Odin, Illinois, 2 brothers; William Wilbur Wheatley and wife Catherine of Royalton, Illinois and Stanley Ray Wheatley and wife Pat of Du Quoin, Illinois, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wheatley was a member of the Day Star Tabernacle in Centralia, Illinois.  She received her associates degree from Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17th in the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois.  Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested.

Mabel H. Van Nieuwenhuyse

Mabel H. Van Nieuwenhuyse, 93 of Clearwater, Florida formerly of Hoyleton passed away at 8:49 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11th at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, FL.  She was born on August 29, 1916 in Washington County, the daughter of John and Lydia Toedte Herzog.  She married Leo Van Nieuwenhuyse on March 23, 1941 in St. Louis and he passed away on April 29, 1992.   Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers; Walter and Erwin Herzog and 3 sisters; Vera Hammond,  Linda Huntsman and Ann Osborn.

Left to mourn her passing are a daughter; Judith (Terry) Gilpin of Oldsmar, Florida, 2 granddaughters; Alexandra and Elise Gilpin, a brother; Leonard Herzog of St. Louis and a sister; Gertrude Silger of Effingham.

Mrs. Van Nieuwenhuyse was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Memphis where she was active in the Altar Society, Legion of Mary and Knights of Columbus Auxillary #616.  She loved to read and was an avid card player.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 16th at Zion Evangelical Cemetery in Hoyleton with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 am until 12:30 p.m. on Monday at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia.

Alonzo Neal Fear

Alonzo Neal Fear, 53 of Centralia passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 24th in St. Louis University Hospital after an extended illness.  He was born on June 23, 1957 in Centralia, the son of Sina Richard and Virginia Lee Hess Fear.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Left to mourn his passing is a son; Brian (Misty) Fear of Dix, 2 granddaughters; Kaitlyn and Taylor Fear.  3 sisters; Marylynne (Gratton) Toliver of Effingham, Aida (Larry) Grable-Pulver of St. Augustine, FL and Jenny (Lloyd) Starr of Centralia.  4 nephews; Van (Rhonda) Grable of Sunrise, FL., Rick (Tracey) Starr, Ryan Starr and Rob Starr all of Centralia.  A niece; Kimberly (Wolfram) Rosch of Centralia, 2 great nieces, a great nephew and special friend; Terri Garden of Salem.

Mr. Fear was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia.  He was an over the road truck driver for 27 years having most recently worked for Brown Brothers Trucking in Nashville.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 30th at Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev. Quinton Runyon officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested and may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the donor's choice.

Ethel C. Black

Ethel C. Black, 87 of Centralia passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20th at Centralia Manor.  She was born on April 16, 1923 in Eldorado, Illinois the daughter of Freeman and Dona Rice Tadlock.  She married Ora Delbert Black on September 4, 1949 in Eldorado and he passed away on September 25, 1993.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, a brother; Raymond Tadlock and a sister; Blanche Liffick.

Left to mourn her passing are a daughter; Brenda Black Turner and husband Roy L. of Monroe, N.C.  A grandson; Martin L. Turner of Mineral Springs, N.C., 2 great granddaughters; Emma and Bekah Turner.  A nephew; Vincent Liffick of Kansas City, MO and a niece; Lisa Greco of Dallas, TX.

Mrs. Black was an accounting assistant at Glass & Shuffett CPA's in Centralia for 50 years and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centralia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24th at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev. Linda Gordon officiating.  Burial will follow at Lindale Memorial Gardens in Eldorado.  Friends may call one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Walter Edward "Dick" Ingram

Walter Edward "Dick" Ingram, age 71, of Centralia, Illinois, Passed away at 12:37 P.M. on Tuesday,
June 29, 2010 at his home in Centralia, Illinois. He was born on July 22, 1938, the son of Walter and Flossie Mae (Ingram) Ingram.  He married Sandra Kay Hand on October 13, 1975 in Bluford, Illinois and she survives in Centralia, Illinois.

Mr. Ingram is survived by 1 son Shannon Ingram of Gillette, Wyoming, 3 daughters Sheryl Waller and husband LeRoy of Camden, North Carolina, Bridget Zaffarano and finance Bryan Rainwater of Centralia, Illinois and Anita Zaffarano and fiancé Jay Dillon of Gillette, Wyoming, 1 stepson Richard Wooten of Illinois, 2 stepdaughters Margaret Coker and husband Carman of Centralia, Illinois and Tillie Mae Wolfe of Rome, Texas, 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 1 brother Jim Ingram of Polo, Illinois, 1 sister Ethel Border and husband Joe of Centralia, Illinois, 1 nephew Gary Goff and wife Kim of Centralia, Illinois and 3 nieces Tanga, Debbie and Connie.

Mr. Ingram is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters Della Massari and Mary Francis.

Mr. Ingram was a construction worker.  He liked to travel and was a seeker of times to come.  He also enjoyed playing piano and guitar.

Graveside services for Mr. Ingram will be 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.  Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Friday. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, Illinois.

Friends may call on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Memorial contributions in Mr. Ingram's honor are suggested and will be received at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.

Lodine LaRue Goesling

Lodine LaRue Goesling, 81 of Centralia passed away at 6:40 a.m. on Monday, June 28th at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.  She was born on May 21, 1929 in Wamac, the daughter of Berthol and Thelma Rogers Rollinson.  She married August "Goose" Goesling on September 17, 1954 in Jefferson County and they later divorced.  Left to mourn her passing are a son; Randy Goesling of Centralia, a daughter; Ida Buchmiller of Centralia. 2 grandchildren; Kimmy Hopkins and her significant other J.P. Ferris and Tyler Murray. 3 great grandchildren; Gregory Harris, Alicia Hopkins and Ricky Hopkins.  A sister; Rosalie (George) Meyers of Centralia.  4 half brothers; Bert, Jim, Wayne and Dwight Rollinson.  4 half sisters; Sandy Bean, Diane Alli, Christina Fletcher and Garnetta Moss. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a half sister.

Lodine was an avid bingo player at Plaza Verde, she loved to dance and listen to Christian music and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2nd at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev. Steve Upchurch officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Jason Robert Turczi, age 21, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 7:43 P.M. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Coles Creek Recreation Area in Carlyle, Illinois. He was born on August 30, 1988 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Robert Roy and Betty Jean (Fosnaugh) Turczi.

Mr. Turczi is survived by his mother Betty J. Foster and stepfather Kenny Foster of Centralia, Illinois, grandparents Robert Whaley and Mildred Whaley of Ohio, sister Heather Turczi and her son Joseph Cottrill, Jr. of Centralia, Illinois, brother Jerry Turczi and wife Ashley and their daughter McKaylia Turczi of Centralia, Illinois, step grandfather Rollie Foster of Centralia, Illinois, step brothers Corey Foster and Kyle Foster  both of Casey, Illinois, Zack Foster and Jordan Foster both of Pitsbo, North Carolina, a step sister Taylor Diel of Centralia, Illinois and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mr. Turczi was preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Turczi.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29th at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call fro 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Memorial contributions in Jason's honor are suggested and will be received at the Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
